Barrel Depot

 

The Barrel Girls have diverse backgrounds in the stone industry and are applying their knowledge of big business to a Greener plan. We have found the Green consumer to be very open to learning more about the environment and how we can all do our little part to make a big difference. Our personal goal is to distribute as many barrels as possible but to also give back to organizations that need our assistance as we grow.

 

Barrel Depot offers hard to get recycled, solid oak wine barrels to the local Minnesota market.  We know how hard they are to get, because we tried to get one!  Local wineries do not have a high turnover of their barrels.  As a result, customers get placed on a waiting list, sometimes for over three years.  Shipping cost for a barrel can exceed over a $100.00.  That is why we opened Barrel Depot.  We wanted to make it easier for Minnesotans to get these beautiful oak barrels.  They look great in a garden and are very functional.  Because the barrels are made out of natural oak and being reused, they are very "Green". 

 

Our barrels can be used to make various items.  Most people purchase our barrels to make rain barrels.  Rain barrels help conserve water, reduce your water bills and water runoff.  This is a simple action you can take to assist the environment in remaining clean for the future generations. Could it be any more simple? The recycled wine barrels can also easy be made into durable potters, unique tables or whatever you desire.

 

This year we will be coming out with a line of accessories made from the staves of the barrel.  You will see many more uses for a wine barrel.  We plan to have them available in May.  They will make great additions to the home or beautiful gifts.

Barrel Depot was started in 2008 to assist you in getting a hard to get oak wine barrels easily.  We want to help make your garden and plants grow but also to keep the envirnoment cleaner. We are all consumers and have to take measures to keep our earth clean for the next generations.
